Discovery Green With Envy | Houston Family Portrait Photographer

Our first Discovery Green family portrait session could not have been a better one. For starters, we had a beautiful family that was eager to work with us. To add syrup to ice cream (that's a saying, right?), the weather could not have been better. We had already rescheduled the session once due to inclement weather and shoots in Houston always come with a chance of rain.

When we all met up near Biggio's I knew instantly that we were going to have a great session. Everyone had a big smile on their face and seemed to be genuinely excited. Bowen, the youngest, was a tad bashful but even he couldn't help feeling the excitement, thanks in large part to big sister. And a footrace always helps to get the energy level up!

It wasn't long after we started the shoot that everyone was warmed up, the entire family was very natural and relaxed in front of the camera. Breslin may have embraced it the most, she was in the zone. And when she wasn't nailing super cute poses she was practicing her gymnastics moves.

As our time together was coming to an end I couldn't help but laugh when Mom and Dad apologized for the kids being such a handful. Here's the thing, they weren't! It's tough work staying focused through a portrait session, and when you're a child it's even more difficult. But these two kiddos were so adorable and well mannered, we really had a great time photographing them. Mom and Dad weren't so bad themselves!
