Our approach to newborn photography is pure and simple, we highlight this new milestone in your life and create beautiful works of art featuring your precious new child.

Plan ahead for your newborn session and book the best day and time for you before your third trimester. Scheduling your session in advance will ensure we have plenty of time set aside for you in our studio and allow us ample time to plan the details together.

What to Expect
Creating beautiful photos of your newborn will always be our main focus but we also simplify the process so that you can relax and enjoy your newborn portrait experience. We will work together to design a shoot that is custom to you and your baby, we help you select clothing, fabrics, and other accessories for the baby as well as any family that will be photographed. When you come in the morning of your session you will also be styled by our hair and makeup stylist.

Sit down with us in our comfortable Houston studio and discuss your ideas and vision for your portraits. We'll work together to design the perfect newborn session that represents your tastes and personal style.

For newborn sessions, you’ll relax in our studio while enjoying locally provided snacks and sipping a client favorite mockmosa. We'll photograph baby. while you work with our hair and makeup stylist before starting the family portion of you photo shoot.

Fall in love with your photos! We’ll invite you back to the studio to view each of your images. There you will order your photos and we will design the layout of your portrait album and create wall displays of canvas or metal prints.
Pricing for Newborn Portraits
When you schedule a portrait session with The Shelby Studio, you can expect a team of professionals to take care of you and your family from the initial consultation to the final viewing and print delivery. Your session fee includes an in-person consultation, the session with both Jacob and Natalie and a second assistant (when necessary), the in-studio viewing, and a design session. For a newborn session, your session fee also includes props and clothing and an extended amount of time to allow for feeding, comforting, or anything else you or your newborn might need to feel comfortable. The session fee also includes a professional hair stylist and makeup artist to pamper you and help you look your best. Newborn Session Fee $400
